Last Sunrise in Baltimore

One of the last pictures I took before leaving my Baltimore apartment:
I turned in my keys.  I no longer live in Baltimore.  Sweet. 
This weekend: Bang on a Can 26 Hour music marathon in downtown NYC.  I'll be there.

Unfortunately, the reason it is so reddish is due to atmospheric pollution...

Have fun in NYC, the city that never sleeps... (especially with percussionists banging on cans! :-) (I love it! too bad I am on the other coast...)

I'm going for as much of it as I possibly can. I seriously think I'm going to camp out the night there. I have to leave a little while on Sunday morning to meet my uncle for breakfast in jersey (yeah, I tried really hard to get out of that one and it didn't happen). But other than that, I'm there for as much of it as I can stay awake.

And you got a busy signal? That's weird, I have call waiting and I also barely used my phone all day today. Weird.

Yeah, it rang twice and then I got a busy signal so I called the house since I was driving by (hence my calling) and Claudia told me you weren't there.

I would like to go for a bunch of the overnight stuff just to see who else is there. I wanna be there at the end for eight blackbird, Canon and Worker's Union.

NPR did an amazing piece on the Bang on A Can festival Saturday Evening. I didn't know it was a showcase for NEW music and composers!
Had 5,000 last year. This year they expect 10,000 to come!
NPR went into some detail about the founders and Why they put this on and how it has morphed over the years.
Wish I was in the area, I would love to attend...
