My cousin (who is considering a major in astro physics) had an away message up that said something about reading some Stephen Hawking. I was a bit jealous, really missing my days studying astro physics, so I said:

RautavaaraAngel (3:38:02 AM): Stephen Hawking *drools*
RautavaaraAngel (3:38:19 AM): that was ME drooling, not Stephen Hawking. Just to clarify.

DARNIT! They want people who had undergraduates in either philosophy or physics. That counts me out :( Oh it looks like SUCH a cool program! I think that prof Brian Greene is giving a lecture this spring at the 92nd street Y in ny. I am definately going. It sounds like it'll be really interesting.

I just doubt that my general interest in physics and that fact that I've taken a few classes and read some cool books will be sufficient to stand up to other applicants who have masters in philosophy or physics. Ah well, back to the drawing board.

You never know. If you really are interested you should contact the dept chairs and request an interview.

I guess I could call and ask. I just think that if I actually ended up applying, it would be a total shot in the dark.
